After using another broker two years ago to sell my vessel, I didn’t really get the feeling that they appreciated my business, it was like I was just another customer, so when I decided to take the plunge and purchase another larger vessel, I searched for a broker that actually took the time to sit down with me, find out what boat was really going to make me happy, all within my personal budget.  I never felt pressured and after Manny personally supervised the marine survey, I knew he’d found the right boat for me.  He even helped negotiate the price down quite a bit from the buyer’s asking price. We’ve since enjoyed a few trips to the sand bar and a trip to Bimini together. Never again will I use a large brokerage house.

Everybody has access to the same real time information online and the marine industry has a lot of people who don’t really have your back.  So, I believe that when buying or selling a boat you must ask yourself what sets brokers apart.  The ability to effectively navigate through difficult negotiations with parties who may not share the same values or ways of doing business.  This is something that is most crucial, yet so rare.  Efficiency and market knowledge are also important, but above all honesty.  You will find all these qualities with Manny Diaz.  Manny represented the sale of my vessel last year and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a vessel.

I’ve known Manny Diaz for over 20 years. I’ve had the privilege to work for him as the dockmaster of the Cocoplum Yacht Club while he was the Commodore and served on the board of directors for 12 years. Additionally, I enjoyed our friendship as well as fishing and diving with him throughout all south Florida and the Bahamas. Throughout these frequent trips I observed his extraordinary knowledge of boats and sincere love of responsible yachting and our marine environment. Having worked with Cpt. Manny for over 10 years now, I can truly say that he is one of the most trustworthy and conservation minded individuals I have had the good fortune to meet in this industry.
